I had my 5th baby here and it was such a wonderful experience. I had a lot of anxiety about this birth because of past birth experiences and the midwives here were so understanding and reassuring. Emily attended my son's birth and she was so great. She even held my hand through the toughest moments for me. I feel like their kindness and understanding healed me from scars from the past. Invaluable!!! ~by Lindsey R (Repeat client of Lovers Lane)

I birthed my fifth baby at home with Dinah earlier this year. It was the most laid back, intimate experience, and Dinah felt more like an observer than a caretaker - she held my space, caught the baby, gave me a little coaching with the afterbirth, held my space some more, checked us over when I was ready. It was perfect and exactly what I had wanted. Our prenatal care was fabulous and she and Emily always took their time to talk with me about everything - diet, exercise, feelings, thoughts. Superb. I would definitely recommend them! ~by Nicole E.

The midwifery care at Lovers Lane Birth Center is what every woman deserves! Dinah and Emily alternate appointments to ensure you get to know both of them, and they are both so informative, knowledgeable, and fully present. They were so respectful of my feelings, wishes, and boundaries. The prenatal appointments felt more like chatting with wise friends than with your care provider. My labor and delivery experience was a total dream. I labored most of the time in the comfort ...of my own home, and went to the birth center once contractions progressed to very close together. I had the water birth I wanted in their beautiful, homey birthing room with very little interference. Dinah stood back and let me do what my body instinctively told me to do, only stepping in to monitor my baby's heart rate between contractions. It was the most empowering thing to be trusted by my midwife to deliver my baby. My husband caught her, and we got to share in glorious, extended (2 hours!) of skin-to-skin time. I left the birth center 3 hours after delivery with plenty of information, check lists, and phone numbers in case I needed them. The 2-day postpartum visit was so nice because they come to your home! I will definitely be using Lovers Lane Birth Center for the rest of the babies I will hopefully have!!!~by Emily P.

The women here are amazing and you couldn't ask for a more supportive team! I had a water birth and Emily was so calm and serene and helped me hit a calm state before my daughter made her way into the world. You will get to meet and know all the midwives that way you have a relationship with whoever is on call the night you go into labor. Trust me these ladies are special!~by Ashlee M.

I just had an amazing VBAC (Vaginal Birth after Cesarean) experience at Lovers Lane Birth Center 4 days ago! I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and the location, itself. The Midwives here changed everything for me. They not only made every prenatal visit loving and empowering but allowed and assisted me in the most amazing birth experience possible! My partner, Gary and I are forever grateful to them! Never could I have imagined what an incredible journey this could be! I would never give birth anywhere else!~ by Marcie W. You get the best of all worlds with this amazing birth center especially if you are looking for a home birth! They accept most insurances and both Dinah and Emily are highly qualified. If you are low risk and live relatively close to a hospital you are set and ready to go. I loved my experience here. Dinah was always loving on my kids and making sure they were adjusting well to their new sibling. She even let them assist with taking my blood pressure and checking for the baby's heartbeat. They both supported me and kept up with what was happening during my husband's job loss and the purchase of our first home. As a busy stay at home mom relatively used to the whole pregnancy thing I didn't need to be educated more on what was happening to my body. It was nice to instead be asked "how are you feeling?" at my prenatal appointments. I didn't know how much I needed that until I went to them. They care not only about how you are doing physically but how you are mentally and emotionally adjusting to having a new baby. Your care is catered to what YOU want and everything is done objectively without them giving their opinion on it. That is a sign that they are truly in support of what is best for you and your current situation. I think it's safe to say I'll be having the rest of my babies with them! I highly recommend checking them out! ~by Asante W. (Repeat client of Lovers Lane)
